My ceramic practice is currently centered around nerikomi, alternative firing, and glaze development.
While these techniques differ significantly in process, I am interested in their shared ability to transform the surface of a ceramic piece. I am drawn to processes that allow me to establish a strong sense of intention while leaving room for spontaneity, chance, and the inherent unpredictability of ceramics.
